Mobil ve internet alanında servisler geliştiren Mivento’yu kurmadan önce 7 yıl Turkcell’de Servisler ve İs Geliştirme yöneticisi olan Acar, mobil pazarda öncü ve yeni servislerin ve stratejik büyüme alanlarının geliştirilmesine liderlik etti.

Turkcell öncesinde, 1996- 2002 yılları arasında Amerika Birleşik Devletleri Silikon Vadisi'nde Internet, medya ve telekom alanlarında Semotus Solutions, Red Herring Communications firmalarında ve çeşitli internet girişimlerinde görevler üstlendi.

University of San Francisco'da MBA eğitimi alan, UC Berkeley ve San Jose State University’de E-Business & Technology programlarını tamamlayan Acar, ODTU İnşaat Mühendisliği mezunu.

Before co-founding Mivento, Mr. Acar was the Director of Services and Business Development at Turkcell, leading mobile operator in Turkey, where he is responsible for identifying strategic growth opportunities and development of new services and businesses including Mobile Payment, Mobile Marketing, and Mobile Internet Services. He was representing Turkcell at GSMA Services Review Group.

Before joining Turkcell, Mr. Acar was Director of Product Management at Semotus Solutions, a San Jose, CA based wireless applications and services firm. Prior to Semotus Solutions, Mr. Acar worked as an analyst for Red Herring Communications, a San Francisco-based media company. Previously, Mr. Acar worked with various Internet start-ups in Silicon Valley on product management and business development.

Mr. Acar holds an MBA degree from University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Middle East Technical University, Turkey. Mr. Acar also attended the University of California, Berkeley E-Business & Technology and San Jose State University E-commerce Management programs.
